In the Flesh (2007)

My portraits and visual narratives of Trinidadian albino people attempt to establish connections between aspects of myself, our collective Caribbean culture and history, and our essential identity. Negative notions regarding difference create conflict and promote isolation, loneliness and trauma. Our planet grows and evolves through its profound diversity, yet we collectively fail to value each and every living creature. In feeling that we do not belong, knowledge and experience of our true identity eludes us. Consequently, our psychological and spiritual development is truncated; we are often unable to recognize and fulfil our potential.
